Hi! I’m Jonathan, a Kent wedding photographer working all over the UK.
Documentary wedding photography with an editorial and fine art twist!
I’m a British wedding and couples photographer and I take a ‘documentary-meets-editorial’ approach to wedding photography. I’m a big fan of authenticity, family, and the beauty to be found in our relationships and the world around us.
I’d probably describe my style as documentary wedding photography with a classy editorial twist - perfect for modern couples. I borrow from the worlds of fashion, street photography, and classic wedding photography to create timeless, powerful and fun images.
Offering a professional, warm, inclusive approach to my clients (and pretty much everyone else) is important to me. My background is in music and film, and I also create beautiful wedding highlights film when booked as a ‘hybrid’ wedding photographer.

It’s all about you (baby)
I find photography most enjoyable when I’m fully committed to my clients and their day. I’m not watching the clock - I’m watching you two go through this mad, wonderful process of getting married. I’m also watching your dear guests.
I think of my wedding photography approach as two main modes: documentary, and directed. Documentary is me capturing the day, the characters and the nuanced story, without influencing it (mostly). This includes the ceremony, parts of getting ready, drinks reception candids, and the dancefloor, Directed photography includes couple portraits, family and friends group shots, some organised chaos and japes with your wedding party, and kind of in the middle is stuff like confetti and champagne sprays, where I can steer the ship a bit. I do work closely with my couples and every wedding is different
Weddings are about you, your love, your family, and your friends. Sometimes also pets. Before the day, I’ll know who, or what matters to you most. Because getting you wedding photos that you love, and that make your heart sing and eyes water, is what matters to me most.
